Beeston Players are proud to announce our June 2026 production
The play follows Richard Willey, a government junior minister, who plans a secret rendezvous with Jane Worthington, an opposition typist. The evening goes disastrously wrong when a dead body becomes trapped in the hotel window, forcing Richard to cover it up to avoid scandal that could ruin his career and marriage.
The farce escalates as more characters enter, including Richard’s wife, a hotel waiter, a suspicious manager, a private detective, and George Pigden, his loyal sidekick, creating a tangled web of comedic mishaps and misunderstandings.
