Hi, I’m Jill and joined Beeston Players back in April 2015. In my late twenties I belonged to the Nottingham Cooperative Arts Theatre. I married and had children and always promised myself I would go back to Amateur Dramatics and the time was right last year and I chose Beeston Players, and I’m so glad I did, they are such a friendly bunch of people – it’s like being in a big family! I have helped out with the Front of house for ‘Sylvia’s Wedding and helped with the lighting for ‘Business Affairs and this year I have a small part in our new production ‘Caught in the net’ in May.
I have always been interested in Drama and I love old films especially the 1940’s. My favourite stars are James Stewart, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, Greer Garson, Joan Fontaine and Bette Davis and lots more. I love live theatre and visit whenever I can.
I love art, history and travel. I make cards and paint when I get chance. I’m mad about Italy and go whenever I can. I also have to get my Cornwall fix and go down there once a year.
