I joined Beeston Players in November 2014 as I was looking to meet new people but unsure how to. I had an interest in Theatre in general and as a teenager was part of the West Bridgford Drama Workshop, so I did an internet search and up popped Beeston Players.
My first ‘role’ was to help out with the Front of House duties at the November production. Early the following year I was cast for the May 2015 production, with my husband joining BP and the cast as a late replacement.
I enjoy the challenge of putting on a production and it has given me a lot more appreciation into the effort that goes into it. A lot of people just don’t realise the work that goes on behind the scenes.
