Congratulations Roger and Allie

Newly-Weds: Roger and Allie

A massive congratulations to Roger and Allie who got married on Saturday, 8th September at Ashbourne registry office. Roger has been with the players for over a year now, appearing in Ladies Day and Over My Dead Body.

Proceedings kicked off at 4pm on a blistering Saturday afternoon with a lovely ceremony at the registry office, which included some Scottish poetry written especially for the happy couple. Afterwards, they were whisked off to the reception in a stylish camper van, for the evening celebrations.

The day was especially memorable for having what must be one of the oldest Best Men (Roger’s father – 85), and also an eye catching first dance from the newly-weds, which would have earned them at least a 9 on Strictly Come Dancing. The rest of the party got their turn in the ceilidh and disco that followed afterwards, which went on into the early hours.

Something that really came across throughout the day was what an outgoing and fun-loving couple they are, and as Roger said in his speech ‘we have such a good time together!’ They set off for a honeymoon in France (though hopefully they’ll be back soon to start rehearsing for our next play). Once again, we wish them all the best for their life together.
